One of the greatest parts about this 'work' shower was that our family was able to share it with us. Sajid's mom, Mrs. Debra, came all the way from Conyers. My mom and Nana took off from work, and my dad joined us too. We love our families more than anything. Next to our Lord, Jesus Christ, they are our rock. They're always there to love on us and support us no matter what. And, I love my job; the people I work with are AMAZING!!! Being able to say that is a blessing in itself. And, I can't forget my students - even two of my walking students joined us at the shower. For me, I don't like the idea of complete separation of work and family. For as long as I can remember, I've always wanted my family to know my co-workers and my co-workers to know my family. Both are too important not to share with the other. So, thank you hostesses, for making this possible.
Speaking of the hostesses...Sajid and I especially want to thank all of them, Rachel Sullivan, Toyia Barnes, Barbara Funke, and Mandy Jarriel, for the time and effort they put into organizing that incredible shower for us. Each of you holds a very special place in my heart. Because of you, we are now better equipped to care for our son. Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!
